Recently we were lucky enough to be invited to photograph the stunning kitchen renovation of Richmond artist Simone Kelly.

Simone goes under the instagram moniker of colour.queen. Stepping into her beautiful home it's easy to see why.

Her recent kitchen renovation is a heady mix of turquoise Perini Vattacan tiles and timber surfaces.

'The timber in the bench tops was salvaged from the old St Kilda Pier' says Simone. Looking around, it's easy to see that each item and accessory in the kitchen has been carefully selected. Simone has also included our very own Copper Calypso Stools which she picked up from Nelson Brown in Swan St Richmond.

Simone's love of colour is showcased in her choice of dhurrie from Fenton & Fenton which is then married back to the details in the kitchen.

Simone is a talented artist and her incredible work is displayed in her colourful home.

We are in love with this light filled space. We also feel very honoured that our Calypso Stools have a place at the bench!
